Plain and simple. Are you a use-guide ff player or a figure-thingies-out-for-your-self ff player ?

Personally I like to know about secret stuff so I bought the guide for FFIX and FFX laugh.gif

Here`s a tip: Don`t buy a guide, go to gamefaqs.com. Better and free.

Yes, listen to SupremeKnight. Gamefaqs.com rules if you're having trouble with a game.

Gamefaqs isn't always the best way to go. It's a hassle to write down or print everything you need

The images doesn`t mean nothing. The best faqs at GameFaqs are way better than all the guides out there.

I'm going to buy this guide only if the game is too hard to figure out or if it's going to have a lot of pretty pictures for me to look at.

The only reason I don't like guides is because they take the fun out of the game or at least they do in my opinion. They are good tho just for the difficult sections and finding secret stuff.

I'll usually have a GameFAQs guide handy when I'm playing - I try not to use it (and usually I don't have to), but from time to time I really need it (Cloister of Trials in X, for example). I consider Split Infinity's guides the best.

Ha! Ditto to that, and add art whore for me. Love the artwork.

Of course it's also helpful for...er...the game? Yes. Not just for teh prettiness.

I don't buy stratadgy guides for FF games, i get through them fine happy.gif. but people who have problems at some parts should just go to www.gamefaqs.com. then you don't have to waste your money. tongue.gif

i use strategy guides simply so that i can get past difficult parts (cloister of trials ffx) and 100% completion (ffx-2 and kh) also good pics info and etc. although it is a drag to convice someone to buy it for me along w/ buying the game smile.gif

Spoken from the sword, handed down from the stone...

That is the story of a world called Ivalice.

I only get a stragedy guide if I'm having trouble before I beat the game once. Then after that I usually end up getting one. I have self control on not looking ahead in the guide since I don't want to ruin the game for myself.

game faqs is full of spoilers, the guides have most the secrets at the back and don't ruin the story, they also don't lie like people do. I'm gonna buy the guide I always do, I like to play through a ff a few times to try to get everything I can by myself then read the guide to see what I've missed smile.gif

-and the pictures in the guides rule ^^

Not all the faqs at GF are full of spoilers, do not say that happens in guides, too.

The reasons to buy a guide are:
1) You are desesperated to waste money;
2) You don`t have internet in your home;
3) You buy the guides for the images you can find everywhere in the net, not to help you out with secrets;
4) It is more pratically than the guides from GFs, because you can bring them with you to everywhere.

Other than that, go to Gamefaqs and check a faq. If you want, PM me and I recommend you the best faqs for the FFs there. They are better than any guide you waste money for.
