What is your favorite internet browser, and why?

You can also add anything that you have found useful on either browser, like anything that is pre-installed, or something you added on to it. You can also state which version you like, for example: Firefox 2.0, Internet Explorer 7.0.

I use Firefox, simply because it's better than Internet Explorer. Firefox does tabbed browsing, the way tabbed browsing is suppose to work. There are some things that Firefox does not do, but then again, there is the IE tab, so no need for Internet Explorer for me. Plus, I dislike Microsoft, so any way to not use one of their products, I'm going to do it. I just wish my PS3 Linux doesn't have fuzzy text on my HD screen. Oh well. Oh, and I use the latest version of Firefox, Firefox 2.0.0.3.

Yay for Firefox! I prefer Firefox because I don't get any pop-ups. I don't know... it just seems like Firefox is better in every single way.

You didn't mention Opera. I have yet to try the new firefox 2.0. I'm currently on Opera 9.something. I liked Opera because of saved sessions and tabbed browsing. Im sure Firefox does the same. Maybe even better.

not quite, but firefox allows you to add a number of useful extensions that can improve on the browsing

you can get Tab Preview, so that you get an image of the page (since it doesn't do it standard), then you can get TabMixPlus for better use of tabs, and it also has the "recycle" bin button, like Opera's trash -- to re-open closed tabs instead of having to use Firefox's default tab thing

and then there's a lot more things that allow you to build upon it's basics. I use Extended Statusbar as well, to see some extra info, like how much the site is in size or how many images there are.

I think Opera pretty much has it all, except for a few things, but firefox can mimic most of those functions with the extensions.

Adblock plus is a must have though biggrin.gif

I am just using IE7 I think.

To me, a browser's a browser.

Plus, I don't understand half of the technical jargon!

(However, I have downloaded FireFox on my computer, because sometimes on a web page sometimes it tells you to use firefox.)

I use Firefox. Haven't had much of a problem with it. I don't like IE at all. Never used Opera.

I used to use Opera, but quickly converted to FireFox during it's beta release.
IE is just an unsafe browser really. Not to mention I hate how it takes a few seconds to load ever since 7 came out, but FF just opens instantly.

in Linux (Gentoo) I use Konqueror because I use KDE, since Firefox displays things a bit odd at times (usually font sizes)

I'm going to install Opera (eventually) to see how it works
