right guys

i want a macbook, not pro, the £800 macbooks, for university in september.

they look fantanstic, and the system looks ace too.

any objections on why i shouldnt? like is there a really bad thing about mac's i should know?

i'm thinking about getting neoOffice while iworks '07 comes out, or i might just get '06, but it won't have a maths one.

also, i'm having second thoughts because most uni computers are likley to run windows. although i think the iworks system can change formats of documents.

or should i just get a really decent windows laptop? hum.

the only thing that i don't like about them is that they are too small :/

however, i don't think you need to worry about converting documents as long as you save them in .doc for MS Word

I have one, and I've gotten used to the smaller than normal screen. It doesn't bother me really.

You can get MS Office for mac now anyways, which should sort out the conversion issues for you anyway.

And if you really want to go all out, you can get a program called Parallels which allows you to run different operating systems on your comp (eg, MacOS and Windows).

Hope that helps. smile.gif

I have one and I highly recommend it.
the screen is small but it makes it very easy to travel with.

and yeah you can set up parallels, my mac has it and it's extremly useful.
And plus the people at apple are great at helping its costomers out.

get it, GET IT!

I have Macbook Pro. I didn't get the Macbook cuz I thought the screen was too small. It really depends on if the screen size bothers you or not. For me I prefer larger screens. Easier for the eyes.
