do you think we should have more executions?there was but it was stopped due to the amount of people who were executed but this time once the person is 100% convicted of a crime then we should execute them

I'm pretty sure this has already been done...
Anyways...

I'm 100% for capital punishment. I believe if you're willing to take someone else's life, your's should be taken in turn. An eye for an eye, if you will.

Some might argue that we as humans have no right to decide who lives and who dies. That we're no worse than the criminal. I can understand where they're coming from, but I still believe capital punishment is the way to go in severe cases.

"I'm 100% for capital punishment. I believe if you're willing to take someone else's life, your's should be taken in turn."

If you're FOR capital punishment then that means you're willing to take someone else's life as well.

Before you go into details you have to ask the question: "Is it ever OK to take the life of another human being?" For me the answer is a straight out no.

And by the way, if just one innocent person is killed by capital punishment, then everyone who has funded it (ie. all taxpayers) have had killing of an innocent done in their name. And those against CP will be pissed at that.

This thread seems pretty messed up, but Im against capital punishment. I think that by taking the life of a murderer you sink down to their atrocious levels. You also give them a shot at matyrdom. Capital Punishment is pretty barbaric IMO. How can the law condemn a murderer when the law is murders human beings as well?

And people can get some stuff wrong. How bad is it to take the life of an innocent person? Its very bad.

So, since everybody is a criminal, people who are in charge of justice, who, of course are also criminals, have all the right to kill the other one using their same criminal methods

That was really bright *applauds*

LOL @ loser

I don't think there should be capital punishment, does it really deter murder? Or does it merely promote revenge?

I dont think it deters murder at all. If you compare areas with capital punishment with those without it, you'll find that its actually the reverse statistically. Although that may well be for other reasons, there's no evidence to suggest that capital punishment is a deterrence. As I said before, it gives some people matyrdom.

Yeah and depending on the person killed, there could be a rise in revenge killings (as people love to believe they can get away with murder, which they probably do).

ok,how about this, big police guys like the hellgast from killzone patrol the streets and any crimes/rebellions then they will be shot on sight and/or any escaped criminal should be shot(both with a tranquillazier)and then taken to prison and executed 3 hours after they arrive at the prison, and for large crowdsnsome sort of knock out grenades

I have mixed feelings about capital punishment. If the person is a convicted brutal murderer, with enough evidence against him/her to prove without a shadow of a doubt that he/she is guilty, I think they should be executed. Why clog up the jails with killers? But if there isn't enough evidence to prove that the person is definitely guilty, then I am against it.

yes,i strongly agree with grg2 as most capital punishments would end up with innocent people being killed for nothing

1) How can you EVER prove 100%? Even if they admit it they might be insane. We accept the fact that the Earth is round for a fact but have you gone up to space and had a look yourself? Maybe its all a huge government conspiracy.

2) If you execute someone, you are a brutal killer yourself. Fact. I'm all for keeping them out of society but murder is murder, whatever spin you put on it.
