^lol, nice idea.

But seriously speaking, thats not gonna happen.

But you know the moon is actually gradually moving away from the earth. Eventually it will escape from its gravitational pull.

If that's true, then why couldn't the earth fall out of orbit?

Maybe it will in a few billion years if it's movng away from the sun. It's possible the Earth's in a perpetual orbit, bt if theres an imperfection in that orbit it'll probably fall into the drink at some point.

But by then humankind will most likely a) be extinct or cool.gif have the ability to handle such a thing

QUOTE(Fox @ Jan 7 2008, 11:24 AM) *

Secondly the mass of the Earth hardly changes at all. When people are born they are made out of the materials the Earth had to begin with. When food is eaten it releases energy which can create new cells which replace the food that has been eaten. So the overall weight doesn't really change.

I thought that I heard somewhere that the earth is always gaining weight because dust particles and stuff like that are always falling on the earth from space. Is that correct? Anyway, I don't think it would really make a difference since that earth is so heavy to begin with.

try "The Day After Tomorrow" it at least made sense in various ways, like how Fox said "Global Climate" er..... change, it is a pretty damn serious issue, though how fictional and obscure it may sound (even the goverment lies about it, obvioulsy), the area of effect can vary, depending on your location, hotter or colder.

The government does not lie about it....you need to quit assuming the government is lying about everything...

They know it is a serious issue, but it is not profitable for them to do anything about it....our government is greedy and selfish...and that's about it.

Hopefully whoever the next president is, will sign the treaty and take it seriously...I can't wait till Bush is out of office mad.gif

Well thats not entirely true. He's certainly not done much to help his popularity but there are always those in support and those against. Bush supporters are probab;y in the minority but not by too muich

A lot of his supporters have left him as he has disappointed them...IE: My father...he use to be a huge Bush fan, but now? He hates him...for several reasons:

1. The Global warming issue...(his words..."we can make money, although it would be worthless, but we can not make another earth")

2. The war...it has gone on faaaaarrrr to long

3. The taxes (make the rich richer and the poor poorer)

4. OK, I can't remember what else he said xD

But yes...Bush is hated by many...

I cant understand how anyone could have liked Bush in the first place.

I new as soon as he was elected that things would get screwed up by him.

Clinton. I guess some people don't respect him because of the whole sex scandal, but lots of people like him.

Not in America, maybe. In Europe he still is well respected. By the left wing, at least. But also on the right wing, I believe.

That is correct.

The scary thing is, the moon holds the Earth in balance. If the moon leaves the earth, the earth will be spinning around like a maniac, causing destruction on all life. Winds will be so heavy and strong, night turns into day turns into night, every so minutes. It's scary to think about. I saw a documentary on National Geographics not so long ago, and boy am I glad the moon's still there. xD

Though some scientists believe the moon is coming closer. Either way, it will be a problem for the earth.
