Yeah well, you read the title.

I think I started watching it at the beginning of year eight when my brother introduced Bleach to me. I still remember freaking out at Orange Range's opening theme because it was in a different language wub.gif

So when did you start watching, or stop watching, and what was the series?

At the very end of year eight. My japanese was good enough for me to understand a little bit of what they were saying, and after that I got hooked.

I think anime's what inspired me to further my japanese at school.

I don't really know when exactly I started to watch anime. I might of been unaware that I was watching anime when I was little. But if I had to make a guess I would say I started to watch anime around when I was about 6.

Lol, actually, I just remembered! I think the early days of Pokemon and Dragonball Z could kind have been the first ones I watched, though I was really really young and only watched it in the mornings before schools. Oh the good times...

The very first time that I started to watch anime was before I even went to first grade. I believe they showed stuff like Sailor Moon during that time...

I think my first anime-like experience was watching My neighbor Totoro. I must've been around 5 or 6.

I was roughly 5-6 when I started watching anime. My first anime was either The Twins of Destiny or Astroboy. The Twins of Destiny was surreal, haunting, intriguing, and somewhat violent.

I think "The Twins of Destiny" could be an "anime-influenced animation", rather than an anime.

^ That's the same for me. I loved getting up early to watch Pokemon and Dragonball Z and then talking about it at school!

Nice topic!

For me, since I was born and raised in Taiwan, I started watching them as soon as I know how to operate a TV remote control. xD I was about 4-5 at the time.

I watched loads back then, but Doraemon and the Yuusha series were the ones that I loved the most. I still remembered how I impatiently waited for those episodes of Zettai Muteki Raijin-Oh being showed once a week on TV. And talk about it with friends the next day. Ah, I really cherish those memories. ^^

Yeah. The term anime means, animations that are only being produced in Japan. So technically, "The Twins of Destiny" is not. =/

Wow. I'm suprised how young people were when they started watching anime.

When I was younger nobody in Brunei even knew what anime was...

Iunno, actually. I was really young at the time and the local channels here were showing random tagalized (animes dubbed in Filipino) anime.

I started watching anime when I was like 3ish or 4 (Bishoujo Senshi, Doraemon, IQ Doctor and lots of Miyazaki movies). I started like a pre-school and everytime, Saliormoon was on, I would drop my pencils and homework and run to the TV to watch it with my sister. I remember that I dressed up as SaliorV, hehe. =D
